I want to become a painter/artist. I need some tips. Any artists out there?

Im very fascinated by art, and I want to start painting. I sketch already, but I want to start painting. I need some tips. For instance, theres an art store near me, and they sell paint, but it comes in tiny little tubes. I see artists covering a huge canvas in paint and im wondering what kind of paint they use? (im assuming its not the little tubes Im seeing). What would I need to get started? What supplies, kinds of paint, brushes, etc etc. And where do I buy canvases to paint on? Basically Im very interested but very clueless and I really just need a starting point. Im on a budget so I cant go all out. How do I get started?
Im beyond highschool. Ive already taken an art class, but I just focused on sketching then.

Have you ever been cheated by a gallery?

The Barcelona Galeria Art-Works SL and its dealer Toni Van Schaik have disappeared along with my 6 paintings and the art of about 20 other artists. We have reported this to the Barcelona police.
Have you had a gallery scam you? If so, what steps did you take to get your work back?

Do you agree that sublime made amazing covers to Bob Marley songs and other artists?

I usually perfer the original but some bands are just good at doing covers. Sublime makes beautiful covers.
Also I must add the cover that flyleaf did of U2’s song Far away so close is also beautiful. I think its better than the original. What bands do you think make good covers?

What is the fastest way to sell art that I have inherited?

My grandfather passed away a couple of years ago, leaving behind a storage room full of signed art prints with appraisals from an art gallery he owned years ago. I have tried selling them online on eBay and Craigslist with no luck at all. I have heard that art is very difficult to sell, so I am wondering if there is a way to sell all of the art at once, or maybe even consign it somewhere. I just really don’t know how to go about it.
