Our Lord also calls them a “brood of vipers”; furthermore in John 8 [:39,44] he states: “If you were Abraham’s children ye would do what Abraham did…. You are of your father the devil. It was intolerable to them to hear that they were not Abraham’s but the devil’s children, nor can they bear to hear this today.——Martin Luther

Learn from this, dear Christian, what you are doing if you permit the blind Jews to mislead you. Then the saying will truly apply, “When a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into the pit” [cf. Luke 6:39]. St. John Chrysostom: “I know that many people hold a high regard for the Jews and consider their way of life worthy of respect at the present time… This is why I am hurrying to pull up this fatal notion by the roots … A place where a ***** stands on display is a whorehouse. What is more, the synagogue is not only a whorehouse and a theater; it is also a den of thieves and a haunt of wild animals … not the cave of a wild animal merely, but of an unclean wild animal … When animals are unfit for work, they are marked for slaughter, and this is the very thing which the Jews have experienced. By making themselves unfit for work, they have become ready for slaughter. This is why Christ said: “as for my enemies, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them and slay them before me’ (Luke 19.27).”

Martin Luther: [ in his last sermon, four days before he died, ] called for practical measures: burn their synagogues, confiscate all books in Hebrew, prohibit Jewish prayers, force them to do manual labour, and drive them out of Germany.

My dogs are my life and I’d like to get tattoos as memorials to them. I have only lost one dog at this point in my life so a portrait would work at this point but realistically I plan on having too many dogs in my life to have a portrait done of all of them.

Therefore I need something that can ultimately be grouped together with each individual part representing a dog. Paw prints are a possibility but are very generic. Flowers would be sufficient but hardly represent dogs.

I love the Rainbow Bridge poem but I’m reluctant to have a tattoo of a rainbow because of something else it may suggest (not that there’s anything wrong with that :))

If you were to remember your dog in the form of body art, how would you? Do you have any suggestions for my position? I’m not asking for specifics, as I strongly feel that tattoos must be personal.
Oh! I should have mentioned this- I am limiting myself to an image or an image with very little wording incorporated because there are already a few “quotes”/verses that I already plan on getting. Just like I done want to be covered in portraits, I also don’t want to be covered in words.

I already have an artist in mind who is creative and excellent at doing realistic, eleborate and accurate portraits.

I’d love to know how you interpreted any part of this question as an attempt to seek validation. In what portion did I ask whether I should or should not get tattooed? You’re bothered by a memorial to the most significant part of my life. Would a meaningless, grotesque image of a dragon or skull fit better into your idea of a worthy tattoo?
